This hollow tooth and has a small chip in the enamel.

Location found: Peace River Formation, Desoto County, FL, USA

Age of specimen: 55 million - 11 000 years ago

Dimensions: 0.92"x 0.75"

Species: There are at the minimum, 6 extinct fossil species of Tapirus known to have lived in Florida.  These are: Tapirus veroensis, Tapirus haysii, Tapirus lundeliusi, Tapirus webbi, Tapirus polkensis, and Tapirus simpsoni.
